CBGD Series Marine Explosion-proof (Spark-free) Centrifugal Fans

1. Overview

The CBGD series marine explosion-proof (spark-free) centrifugal fan (hereinafter referred to as the spark-free fan) is a marine explosion-proof product developed from the CGLD series of marine fans. It is designed and manufactured in accordance with Marine Explosion-proof Fans, Electrical Design for Explosive Atmospheres, and the relevant provisions of domestic and international ship rules.

The CBGD spark-free fan is suitable for the ventilation of ship compartments containing flammable and explosive gases, and for other suitable applications.

This series has been tested and approved by the explosion-proof inspection authority of the PRC and has been granted an explosion-proof certificate; it has also been approved by the Register of Shipping of the PRC.

2. Features

The CBGD spark-free fan offers a high explosion-proof rating, high efficiency, low noise, no motor overload, corrosion resistance, resistance to rolling, vibration and shock, smooth running, and safe and reliable operation.

3. Structure

The CBGD explosion-proof fan is built in two designs, type I (direct-coupled) and type II (bulkhead-mounted); both have a spark-free structure.

Type I (direct-coupled) is a direct-drive design in which the impeller is mounted directly on the shaft of the explosion-proof motor and the casing is fixed to the motor flange.

Type II (bulkhead-mounted) has the fan and motor in separate compartments and consists of the fan, transmission assembly, flexible coupling and motor. The transmission assembly comprises the bearing housing, bearings, shaft, copper ring and sealing gland, and allows temperature measurement and oil replenishment. One end is coupled directly to the explosion-proof fan, the other to the bulkhead.

The CBGD explosion-proof fan is of the horizontal, single-stage, single-inlet, airtight type; a vertical design is also available.
