Marine Hydraulically Driven Explosion-proof Fans

1. Overview

CSZ and CSL hydraulically driven explosion-proof axial flow fans offer a high explosion-proof rating, excellent corrosion resistance and strong resistance to rolling, vibration and shock. The unit is simple and compact in construction, light in weight and easy to handle — a single person can carry and operate it. It is driven directly by fire-fighting water and needs no additional power equipment. Sealed bearings keep maintenance to a minimum. The range of application is wide: the fans can drive and convey flammable, explosive, toxic and hazardous gases and vapours in ambient temperatures from -35 °C to 250 °C.

2. Features

The CSZ hydraulically driven explosion-proof axial flow fan consists of a water turbine, frame, casing, rotating assembly and impeller. The water turbine is precision-cast in corrosion-resistant copper alloy, the casing is welded from austenitic stainless steel and the impeller is cast in high-strength aluminium alloy. The water turbine and the rotating assembly are sealed in two stages, by a mechanical seal and by packing. A safety ring runs through the clearance between casing and impeller, so that the complete unit has a spark-free structure. CSZ fans are available in extract and supply versions; the two versions are not interchangeable.

The CSL hydraulically driven explosion-proof centrifugal fan consists of a water turbine, frame, casing, rotating assembly and impeller. The water turbine is precision-cast in corrosion-resistant copper alloy, the casing is welded from austenitic stainless steel and the impeller is cast in high-strength aluminium alloy. The complete unit has a spark-free structure. The outlet angle is R90° for the extract version and R225° for the supply version; the two versions are not interchangeable.
