CQ Series Marine Centrifugal Fans

1. Overview

The CQ series marine centrifugal fan (hereinafter referred to as the fan) can convey air, salt-mist-laden marine air, and corrosive air containing oil mist and small amounts of acid vapour from the natural evaporation of batteries.

The CQ fan is suitable for ventilation and air renewal of all kinds of ship compartments and for boiler ventilation, and can also be used in other suitable applications.

The CQ fan is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB 11865 Marine Centrifugal Fans and the relevant provisions of the current Rules for the Classification and Construction of Steel Ships of the Register of Shipping of the PRC.

2. Features

Small dimensions, light weight, low noise, low vibration, good corrosion resistance and good airtightness,

low starting resistance, and strong resistance to rolling, vibration and shock.

3. Structure

The CQ fan is of the horizontal, direct motor-driven type and can also be built in a vertical design.

The impeller is made of aluminium alloy and is statically and dynamically balanced. The casing and inlet are assembled from ordinary sheet steel.

The CQ fan can be built for clockwise rotation (right-hand) or counter-clockwise rotation (left-hand).

Viewed from the motor end, clockwise impeller rotation is designated “L” and counter-clockwise rotation is designated “R”.

The CQ fan can be fitted with a 380 V, 50 Hz marine AC motor or a 220 V marine DC motor.
