CWZ Series Marine Axial Flow Fans
1. Overview
The CWZ series small marine axial flow fan (hereinafter referred to as the fan) is suitable for the ventilation of galleys, toilets, bulkheads, public spaces and conference rooms on naval and merchant ships, and for other suitable applications.
2. Features
The CWZ fan is designed by the variable-circulation method. A reasonable variable-circulation coefficient is selected according to the fan parameters so that the characteristic velocity and length are properly distributed over each blade section, giving the fan low noise, small dimensions, light weight and stable performance.
The design and manufacture of the CWZ fan take full account of the special conditions of shipboard use: the impeller undergoes strict dynamic balancing and overspeed testing, so the fan offers good corrosion resistance, resistance to rolling, shock and vibration, smooth running, and safe and reliable operation.
The CWZ fan is intended for 380 V/220 V, 50 Hz or 440 V/220 V, 60 Hz installations.
3. Structure
The CWZ fan comes in two designs, type I (duct-mounted) and type II (window-mounted):
Type I (duct-mounted) can be used directly in short ducts or mounted on a bulkhead for ventilation.
Type II (window-mounted) can be fixed to sidelights and bulkheads; a watertight seal allows it to be opened and closed easily to keep out sea water and rain.
The CWZ fan impeller is cast in aluminium alloy and the casing is welded from steel plate.
